What is a power station?
A power station is a multifunctional power source with a built-in lithium-ion battery that stores electricity. It features lightweight design, high capacity, high power, long life, and stability. It can output DC and AC power as well as other common power interfaces, supplying power to cell phones, laptops, drones, projectors, electric fans, cameras, power tools, and other equipment. It is suitable for outdoor camping, off-grid living, RV travel, family emergency power, professional construction, and other high power consumption scenarios.
As we all know, power stations are used to power/charge appliances and need to provide a long-lasting stable current output for some devices. This allows users to operate various electrical devices normally even without electricity. Therefore, before selecting a power station, you need to know the capacity of your devices, the maximum AC output of all your appliances, and how long you need to power those appliances.
Generally, standard power stations have USB-A/USB-C ports to charge cell phones and other devices. These devices usually require small capacity and short charging times. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the capacity of those devices.
As for high-powered devices:
1. Max AC Output
The power station must be able to meet the total power output demand of the appliances, and it is recommended that the maximum output power of the power station exceeds the total power demand of the appliances.
2. Number of devices
Some appliances need to be powered for a long time, such as refrigerators, TVs, etc. Others only need power for a short time when in use, such as kettles and power tools.
Make sure the number of AC ports ≥ the number of appliances (that need to be powered for a long time).
3. Powering time
Evaluate the usage time of each appliance.
4. Capacity demand
The capacity demand = (Appliance input power × time of powering + Total capacity of charging devices) / 0.9
